Fire Ban Information

NO FIRE Advisory IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT IN SUMMER VILLAGE OF YELLOWSTONE

See Lac Ste. Anne County for more information: https://www.lsac.ca/

When a Fire Ban is in Effect:

Within the Municipal boundaries affected by the order of a FIRE BAN, every person shall immediately proceed to extinguish every outdoor fire and recreational fire lit by him or under his authority and every fire located on land occupied or owned by him.

No Person shall ignite, construct or create a recreational fire in a park when a FIRE BAN is in effect.

A FIRE BAN applies to fireworks as well.

The Summer Village will post ‘Fire Ban in Effect’ signs when there is a full fire ban in effect.  This means no open fires and no fireworks.  The Summer Village will be under a total fire ban when there is a Provincial Fire Ban in place.

When a Fire Ban is Not in Effect:
Please be advised that ‘open’ fires are NOT allowed. Only fires within fire pits are permissible.  Yellowstone does not have a fireworks bylaw or a fireworks permitting process, therefore, the Summer Village does not grant permission to discharge fireworks in the Summer Village.

Please continue to ensure you take care and caution when having a fire and be sure your fire is completely out when unattended. Soak It. Stir It. Soak It Again. Let the fire burn down before you plan on putting it out. Spread the embers within the fire pit, then add water or loose dirt, and stir. Expose any material still burning. Add more water and stir again until you can no longer see smoke or steam.
