Combined Tax and Assessment Notices are mailed annually in May.

Combined Assessment and Tax Notices
2021 Tax & Assessment Notice Mailing Certification
​This is certification under Sections 310(4) & 336(1) of the Municipal Government Act that 2021 Combined Assessment and Tax Notices were mailed to all property owners in the Summer Village of Yellowstone on May 17, 2021.

Special Tax

​The Special Tax is made up of a combined total cost of several services provided by the municipality and is levied in accordance with Section 382 of the Municipal Government Act.  The Special Tax is made up of the following:


• Waterworks Tax – $2,000 ($11.97/property). This amount includes the annual operating costs to the WILD Water Commission.


• Sewer Tax and Sewer Facility Maintenance Tax – $32,000 ($191.62/property).The Summer Village will be invoiced this year by the North 43 Lagoon Commission for Operating & Maintenance costs for the sewer/force main.


 Fire Protection Area Tax – $17,300 ($103.60/property).  This is the annual fee that the Summer Village pays to the fire service provider to ensure there is fire suppression coverage within the municipality.   Should an individual property actually need fire suppression services, that individual property will be invoiced directly for the costs of their particular fire incident.


• Recreational Services Tax – $46,902 ($280.85/property).  This is the annual cost to maintain the municipal reserve areas within the Summer Village.


Total Special Tax – $98,202 divided by 167 properties = $588.04/property.

Monthly Tax Payment Plan
Take advantage of the Tax Payment Plan. By making equal monthly installments, you will avoid penalties and the need for a large lump-sum payment. Contact the office for more information at 587-862-0500.

Tax Certificates
Tax Certificates are $25.00 each and can be requested by sending a formal request via email to [email protected] with proof of payment. Please make payment payable to the Summer Village of Yellowstone.
